The attempts of the EU Commission to lighten and adapt the regulations of micro-enterprises arouse amazement and discontent. Liisa Jaakonsaari, Member of the EU Parliament suspects that the initiative of the assessment and clarification unit (under the Commission’s secretariat) is an indication of political guidance that neglects occupational safety. According to her, this would inevitably lead to a weakening of occupational health and safety.
